I love how beautiful his room, bed and pajamas are. Anyway, I'm too lazy to really write a decent entry about yesterday's episode (If I wasn't, there should be one already written yesterday). I'll probably coax to cosplay as Rei Ryugazaki - bedhead and butterfly pajama model extraordinaire.

Episode 7 After-Episode Scoop: Mostly Spoiler-Free, but contains some screencaps.. though I doubt it spoils anything central to the story.



Episode 7 was so exciting! It's competition time for our beloved Iwatobi Swim Team! But first, let me show you the best picture of today's episode: (it's funny I promise)






Anyhow, going back, today was a heated episode because it involved a whirlwind of emotions and swimming action. We get to see Rin's past and also his resolve in his rivalry with Haruka. Also, I found myself cheering for Haru as he and Rin competed in the 100m Freestyle (crawl) race. I won't tell who won; go find out for yourself.



Even though you get to know who won in the end, it felt like the episode was too short. I mean, dammit, cliffhanger feels, WTF. Next episode will involve them in their relay/medley race and probably the others' individual events. The following are their events, iirc:
- Haruka : 100m Free
- Makoto: Backstroke (most likely 100m and 200m)
- Nagisa: 100m and 200m breaststroke
- Rei : Butterfly (most likely just the 100m one since he's a beginner; the ep didn't tell)

For the Samezuka team:
-Rin : 100m Free (he is strong in the butterfly stroke area, but he didn't join there)
-Nitori: 400m Free

Can't wait for the next episode!

I don't know how to properly thank people who fave my art and I'm sort of hesitant to leave messages in their pages, so maybe I should employ the tactic of giving llamas as a thank you for faving my art like some do.

First of all, it was a relief that everything turned out all right. Free! made up for the scare it gave me last episode, though I'm a bit disappointed on how they presented Mako's backstory (maybe I should go read High Speed! now). I was expecting it to be a bit scarier and more traumatic, but I also think that it's good that he was not subject to worse conditions.



It's also funny that the two biggest guys in the team are also the two biggest scaredy-cats. Rei getting freaked out and Mako's grim face was hilarious. As almost all summer activities, a camp is never complete without your "Test of Courage"...






.. and "Summer Campfire Tales", where we find out that Haru x Water is Canon.






..wait for it...




All in all, it was a fun episode. Can't wait for the next one! I think they'll go compete already. (Rin and Haru's banter in the preview was amusing too. )
